Yesterday, in the United States, many of us celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday, a time dedicated to giving thanks and expressing gratitude for the many fortunes we may take for granted daily. Today, some of you may be reading this while braving Black Friday shopping crowds or, better, sale shopping online with coffee in hand!

Either way, today’s message is brief, not in purpose, but in length.

If I asked you to make a list of the people, experiences, items, and ideas you are truly grateful for, what would your list reflect? What “makes the cut” as THE most valuable, gratitude-worthy portions and pieces of this one life of yours?

I did this exercise yesterday, and as an added challenge (for no reason other than to force myself to drill down to the most critical), I limited myself to a list of the five core “factors” that, without them, I would be a different version of myself. It was tough, and I can’t say that I enjoyed the added layer of constraint, but I will say that reflecting on the contents of the list revealed that I need to do a better job of ensuring my behaviors and actions mirror the importance that I feel.

If you did this same activity, what would your list reveal to you?
What makes your cut?

I’m grateful for every single one of you in this Thought Partner Network, and I’m thankful that you assist me in doing what I love to do.
