In our last post on Action & Accountability, let’s examine a new definition for Q&A.

Nope, not Question & Answer.

Question & Action.

Did you know…
1. Questions lead to thinking.
2. Thinking leads to focused attention.
3. Focused attention leads to doing.
4. Doing leads to action.

Questions lead to Action.

Research shows that the more the brain contemplates a behavior, the more likely it is to engage in said behavior. With AI and our devices at the ready to suggest products and services simply because we’ve mentioned them in conversation or visited a website, the more the suggested imprints appear in our feeds.

The same principle applies to people. If you happen to be a traveler and someone asks you where you’re going on vacation next summer, maybe your answer is “I have no idea!” but the question will more than likely spark your searches. Questions lead to Action.

If you ask someone what the key accomplishment is that they need to deliver today, hopefully, they’re able to rattle that off, but if they’re not, chances are they are going to think about it and take steps toward working on it. Questions lead to Action.

If the next Question you ask creates Action, what will it be?

Today is Friday; it’s the perfect time to finish the week strong!

What Questions will you ask that lead to Action?
